Is it the "Capture MIDI" feature you're talking about?
Description says:
Capture MIDI New in Live 10
Recall your best ideas after you’ve played them – Capture MIDI can turn what you played into MIDI clips, without having to think about recording.
I'll try to find exemple on Youtube at lunch.
I don't own Live 10 but I could be willing to buy it if this works. Another option would be Melodyne maybe. Way more pricey to get DNA but I'm the guy that enjoy listenings to MOGG files to mix classic songs.
It's not the capture midi feature Dali ;That is used when you haven't hit the record button ,do an inspirational lick or sequence, realise you've not hit record, and save yourself by using the capture button to get your recording.Anyway.What I mean in live 10 is you can extract harmony, melody or drums from an audio sample and convert it into MIDI.
