Help with drum beat
I'm looking for a style and a drummer to get in the neighborhood of Peter Gabriel's in your eyes. I've been able to get close with Carter and an imported MIDI but I can't stay away from that first snare on a Hard 2.

Could you add the Snare Grid from the Brain menu and add the Snare pattern with that?

Along the lines of what Azimuth said, I'd suggest to do this:
[img:520f21390b]http://www.rayzoon2.com/stuff/inyoureyes.jpg[/img:520f21390b]
Steps:
- load 'Jamstix Classic' style
- BRAIN menu: click 'Add' -> 'Tom Grid'
- set boxes in grids as shown in the image
- set hihat to 16th Dual
This uses Tom 5 but you can change this by unchecking the white tom box, pressing the 1,2,3,4 or 5 key and then checking the box again.

Thanks for the responses, I'm getting much closer now.

To further add, I've been using jamstix since the very beginning. On every piece of music I've done since then, and some very elaborate. I wouldn't consider myself a power user but I've gotten jamstix to be spectacular. I am so grateful for this program and I apologize for not knowing the answer to my own question.

Do you mean the white Tom circle shown in the Tom Grid (in your post) or another check box. I am also assuming that when you press 1-5 that tells JS to use that tom.Ralph [RZ] wrote:
