What does the "X" on an event icon mean?

It means that sound is being suppressed,not played,This occurs in conjunction with the,"Limb" control in the options and also in the midi editor,"File Default Options" where JS will suppress the groove while a fill is played.
I sometimes switch off the limb control as I want some things to happen that normally a drummer may or may not be able to do with just 4 limbs as the piece dictates.

Hi-

Thanks much for the reply, and that's kind of what I thought, but in the bars where I'm seeing this the only 2 things happening at the same time are a RF Kick and a LF Hi-Hat Close -- no Accent or Fill.

Several other bars have the same combination, and the RF isn't X-ed out in those.

I may be wrong but that might occur if the bar at some time had a fill or was made as a fill.Just disable the Automatic button and then click on the bar icon so only that bar is affected and then make sure you are on the groove window and then click on the re-compose and run the bar.

If you move the mouse over an X-ed event you may see the reason shown in the status bar.

@Sheppol_A: That didn't change anything, but thanks.

@Ralph: The status bar shows "Kick V:52 P:8 T:5 ms". Should that tell me the reason it's X-ed out? EDIT: I should say there's nothing in the "real" status bar that indicates why it's skipped. I just saw in another case where it says a hit was skipped due to a conflict with a fill, but that's not the case here. There's nothing else going on.

I must be missing something, since now I'm getting an "X" across basically every note in Jamcussion. I'm using the Modern Style, drummer Handy. The R2, R1, and L1 hits are all x-ed, along with some of R3.

What could be causing this? There's nothing in the status bar to indicate a conflict. I have a regular drummer loaded, too, but that shouldn't be a problem, right?

All suggestions welcome!
