Redirection is a feature that I have never really explored in Jamstix until recently.
For whatever reason, I cannot get it to work for me.
It looks to simple for me to have not done it right so I may have a setting elsewhere that I do not know about that will not allow this to work.

This thread is what I used for guidance AFTER I read the manual and tried it.
I want pretty much what that thread says. Redirect the Hi Hat 100% redirected to the Tambourine. Seems sim[le enough.
Any ideas. 4.5.0 Beta 1 on Win11 in Reaper.
Thanks
Brian
BTW I cannot believe how excited I am that Ralph is back and hopefully Jamstix 5 happens. Hell take my money now.

The Redirection function is there in the Groove page and Enabled. I tried redirectin various kit pieces to other pieces and no go.

Re: Redirection help
okay so I got it going but I assumed that i could keep the bar locked for this.
my mistake. i was trying to avoid having the Brain change other parts of the Bar.
nevermind. all good.

Re: Redirection help
Hey Brian,
Here's a post from Ralph that describes how to redirect to the Jam Blocks and save it as a player model. You just have to change the "new sound" line to the Kit ID number for the Tambourine. It won't help if you've got all bars locked but if you're building a song or want to unlock a song part, you could add the saved player, which is saved in the Special Drummers category.

Re: Redirection help
Hey Brian,
I just thought of something that would work even if all of your song parts are locked, use the Midi Key and Linkage editor in the Kit window dropdown menu. Link the Tambourine to all of your Hi-Hat articulations and add or remove the Hi-Hat with the Channel 4 volume in the mixer. HTH

Re: Redirection help
Thanks for the tips.
I have used the Midi Key and Linkage editor in the past but it did not occur to me that I could use it for what I wanted in Redirection.
What I wound up doing for my song was to create 2 more Redirection elements, renamed the 3 to the piece that I wanted them to each to play. So Kick is redirected to Tambo, Snare to Shaker and HH to Egg Shaker. That worked great.
One thing I plan to try this morning is to make sure the newly created perc hits (tambo, shaker, egg shaker) are Locked and then recompose the other part of the Groove played by the rest of the kit for more variety vs the redirected kit pieces and the perc hits playing at the same time.
Should be fun.
