.... I know that probably doesn't mean anything. I've tried to get these effects to no avail. If you're making another drummer consider Matt Cameron please.

Specific parts in specific songs, if I get a chance next weekend... "catching up" fills/parts in "Rusty Cage"(and also "Never the Machine Forever), certain fills in "Fell on Black Days", "Pretty Noose" fill at 2:12, 2:47 (kinda Keith Moon), hats on the verses of "Zero Chance" (and the shuffle on the chorus), "draggy" hats on "Slaves and Bulldozers", kick accents on "Holy Water" (although that is in JS now, but..),

Actually, the way he improvised - which was almost like "doom metal jazz" - live on "Jesus Christ Pose" is sort of a summation...

Obviously I'm a big Matt Cameron fan, and SG fan, so even if I'm doing something that is "guitar fusion" when I hear the drum part it will often have a "Matt Cameron" solution to it that is extremely difficult to come even vaguely close to. It could sort of be an aspect of Brzecki or Keith Moon, but with swing and a Copeland-esque starting beat...

I would love a Ghrol model too, it seems he had a certain style of playing which I could benefit from, but Matt Cameron is even more unique stylistically.

Wouldn't mind an overall "90's post punk" drummer, too. Some of those guys were tight and did some interesting things.

Even the Blink drummer, and I hate Blink182.

The Drummer feature in Logic X is "very Grohl".

Wouldn't mind an overall "90's post punk" drummer, too. Some of those guys were tight and did some interesting things.

Even the Blink drummer, and I hate Blink182.

Travis Barker is good, so it Tre Cool. Not my thing - but they're good.

Sort of. Cameron does drags, almost decelerando things into little cut time beats, or sometimes does something kinda "disco hat accent but dragged/late" that he usually follows with a (drag ruff ratamacue?)... so many characteristic phrases...

There's the Lar Ulrich "catch up" thing where he reverses at the end of a measure, or offsets an 1/8th note... that might be in the Jamstix metal pack, I don't know (came on today to see if there are/were any Black Friday deals to get the rest of what I don't have, didn't see an email...?)

Yeah I mean I am not a fan of Blink at all (even though I play a couple of their tunes because.. drunk people at bars), but can't deny the drummer...

and yeah I like greenday to an extent and also, their drummer is damned good. I am not 100 percent sure what he would bring to the table as an individual, but thats why a kinda post-punk pack would be cool, just wrap em all up in one package.

And then a grunge pack, but I would want to see individual drummers there, like Ghrol, Cameron, Kretz, maybe the dude from alice in chains (No excuses is a cool ass beat), Chamberlain, etc...

But that does distract from your post and I don't mean for it to - but again, I'd love to see a grunge pack, even if "grunge" is an annoying term and really only nirvana barely qualified (we all know it was actually other folks)...

That is really the kind of drumming that I want, and I just kinda adapt the styles on jamstix best I can.
