The framework update should address macOS GUI integration issues and provide a performance boost. It is not a re-write/replacement of the engine.

That sounds like the time to pick this one up again. I don't think this is an engine issue. Thanks.

A new Beta 28 is now out for macOS. If anyone still encounters 3D kit stoppage with this version, please email me the logs. Thank you!

Hello All.

Mac OS (Mojave) beta testing here

I may not be doing this right, but I am trying to follow the steps in the quickstart guide under "Hand-editing Your Grooves" to ‘Save Groove As Style’ and then rebuild my song using the new style. Things go fine until here:

[b:73926319cc] click ‘Save Groove As Style’ in the bar editor menu and give it a descriptive name
open the song builder and build your song using your saved style
[/b:73926319cc]

After saving the groove as a style name under a category, the style name on the top bar next to the "BRAIN" drop down shows "Unnamed".

When I then try to load the style into the song builder, I do not see my style as I labeled it under the "Other World Rhythms" category where I saved it.

Am I doing this right? See screen caps below for reference. Thanks for any and all help:

You found a bug! This will be fixed in the next Beta. By the way, do you have the 3D kit stopping on you after a while as some other users?

Glad to help!

To be honest, I'm still using the beta version prior to the current one. I'm actually using this on a project at the moment and read on here that there were issues with kit freeze and fills not generating, so I thought I would hopscotch to the next release so I can continue work.

Also, FWIW, I vaguely remember some directories for storing files (grooves?) coming up as having a mix of forward and back slashes for the directory notation i.e. /Volumes/Dir/Dir\groove.dat. I'm not sure if that's parseable or not in your code.

Yes, that's where the bug is.
