Jamstix 4.4.3 Beta 3 (macOS) is now available

Basic question: how does a person navigate within the song structure in JS4? There's a slider to do that in JS3, but it's not there in 4. Can't figure out what replaced it. Any tips for a new 4 user? I've circled it in blue in this picture:

Another stupid question. What is the workflow to change the brain to new settings for all parts at once? I chugged through and built a song structure with our old friend James and all the other defaults, figuring I'd get that right before anything else.

I know that I can go through and change style/drummer/kit one part at a time (either by hand or with copy/paste). But at the early stages I'd like to be able to switch those across all the parts at the same time. Any way to do that? Sorry to get a "beta test" thread off topic with these newbie questions.

oooOOOohhh.

I came across those in the documentation and thought that they were for parts only. Looking at P.27 it says:

"Load Style and Load Player allow you to select those items [u:f0aca1ef37][b:f0aca1ef37]for the current part[/b:f0aca1ef37][/u:f0aca1ef37] much like the corresponding items in the brain menu or clicking on the style and drummer name in the brain panel."

Thanks for your speedy reply

How goes with the Beta? Would be nice with a trial version before I spend money on an upgrade.
Unfortunately i bought my JS3 a little more than 3 month too early (apr.17 2014) and have no access to the beta :(

I just noticed that I have to have the plugin window open for audio to play in the VST version of the plugin. The AU version doesn't care, audio plays with window open or closed. I cycled through the two plugins a few times whilst isolating that as the (seeming) cause. I'll email the support-files to Rayzoon in a second, but I was wondering if anybody else has noticed this.

That is something that happens only with Ableton Live and only for certain users. We haven't been able to pinpoint it. None of our dev/test machines does it.

I noticed up-thread that there are plans to change the framework for the plugin in a few months. Is that going to replace the graphics engine? If so, this might be another one to put on the "wait for the new framework" pile -- along with a lot of the other graphics-related glitches. This one's not a showstopper, the AU works fine.

Happy to be a remote test-bed if that would be helpful -- I don't depend on this machine to make my living so it's not the end of the world if something breaks for a while. I'm learning to work around the glitches and really enjoying being able to use Jamstix again after all these years away.
