I'm a little disappointed that there are no drummers identified as 'Country.' I thought I recalled hearing sometime ago that JS4 would include one or more Country drummer. Maybe there's an update coming?
Anyway, for anyone who also uses JS4 for Country songs, what drummers would you recommend?
When I refer to Country, I'm referring to what is often called Classic Country in distinction to the modern Nashville 'New Country' that is barely discernible from Pop ... other than the alcohol, truck and dirt roads infused lyrics.
Artists, for examples, would be Willie Nelson, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Merle Haggard, etc.
Thanks for any help.

I don't know what you mean by "those guys." Are you referring to the artists I mentioned or to some of the drummers?
Thanks!

One of the things that I hope JS4 has improved upon is how you feed it MIDI loops and let it do its things to those loops to modify them.
If so -- while you're waiting for a country drummer, you might want to pick up a couple of MIDI packs from Groovemonkee and see what JS does to them. They're on sale right now for $10. I don't own these particular ones, but Groovemonkee generally makes good stuff."

Hey, GreyLion, thanks. FWIW I just picked up the Toontrack Country Grooves MIDI pack on a one-day sale for $9.00.GreyLion wrote:One of the things that I hope JS4 has improved upon is how you feed it MIDI loops and let it do its things to those loops to modify them.

Sounds like you've been disappointed in the results in JS3.
I've been looking forward to delving into exactly what you point out. However, as I understand the balancing between style and drummer, I wonder how a well that can work if there are no Country drummers to embellish the MIDI loop in Country styles of playing.
But I'll give it a shot.

In the subject of that response, I had "Charlie or Phil " and these are the guys I meant.
