Yes, for users that don't qualify for the free upgrade, there will be a limited time discounted upgrade price.
JS4 is moving through private Beta at this time. After that, it will go public Beta for all (free upgrade) qualified users.

When js4 is released, will we still be able to use js3.x if desired (similar to how we can use any previous version of Cubase)?

Yes, you can run both. You can also transfer arrangements from JS3 to JS4 via Load/Save Song.alexis wrote:When js4 is released, will we still be able to use js3.x if desired (similar to how we can use any previous version of Cubase)?

They use the same sounds and JS4 can be set to use the JS3 sound folder so that no disk space is wasted.Dali_S wrote: Will they share any new sounds or it will means two data folders ?
On a side note, even though the sounds are the same, the kits sound almost completely different since JS4 uses extensive processing via the new mixer to provide a more 'mix-ready' sound experience.

Hi Ralph and All,
My apologies if this has been asked and answered, but will the existing Expansion and Minipaks we that purchased for JS3 work with JS4 or is there a JS4 version of these products that will be installed in their place? The idea for me is to save space be completely removing and replacing JS3 and replacing it's components with the JS4 equivalents.

Just to make sure I got this right.Ralph [RZ] wrote:All who purchased Jamstix 3 after 8/1/2014. Your purchase was made 11/29/2011.minerman_1 wrote: Who qualifies for the free upgrade to JS4???
I bought JS on 08 May 2015.
So I am a "qualified user" to get the public beta of JS4 AND a free upgrade?
