Does all this silence mean the new beta is being being well behaved with Reaper? I am counting on it.

Hi JMD,
I have not had the time to test everything I've wanted to like when v3.5 went beta but so far what I've come up against has been very minor compared to some of the issues in the 3.5 beta cycle. 3.6 b14 has been solid on my studio rig under Win7 x86 & x64 in Reaper x86 & x64 and also on my Surface Pro in Win 8.1 under Reaper x64. It all looks good from my perspective so far. The biggest issue that I see at this point is GUI "shearing" when dragging the JS window around. It's purely cosmetic IMO and doesn't bother me. It doesn't affect functionality which is the yardstick I'm measuring issues with.

J.L. :D
I installed Beta 14 Yesterday (which was the first beta that I installed from this round last version was 3.50) and first run got the white screen Gui and message. Reloaded and it has loaded fine since however Have been having problems with JS not saving anything Kit or Song that was programmed after saving DAW file (Cubase5 and FL 11.04) this has been intermittent though and only appears to be a problem with the 32 bit version in both programs and only appears to be a problem with JS1 files. also had the issue where JS becomes unusable after changing song settings kit tab empty and song parameters unresponsive.

Loving the new look though BTW any literature for 3.6

Cheers Paul

Cheers found it. BTW I take it the Rtas version is not yet implemented in 3.6? as am getting a critical error in Protools with the RTAS version the wrapped VST version is also not running well (heavy graphics use cursor freezing etc) protools 10 and FXpansion Wrapper

OK, installed Beta 14 in Reaper x64 - sounds are initially working, but some immediate GUI issues - see photo with the red arrows. Is there some monitor resolution which is needed? I am at 1920 x 1200. The black lines change when I move the window - get better and worse. If I close and reopen the start out fine then reappear.

By the way, tell me again, what is that Audio Plugin Server??

Nevermind I looked it up!

Whenever you load Jamstix into your host, you will notice a small application opening on your
desktop with the name ‘Jamstix’. This is the audio plugin server of Jamstix and a very distinct
feature of Rayzoon products beginning with Jamstix 3.6.
The audio plugin server allows for the following functionality:
1. Interaction between different products, regardless of host (i.e. Jamstix playing
intelligently with the future JamBassist plugin)
2. Efficient sharing of resources if multiple instances of Jamstix are used
3. Allows caching of resources for faster repeat load times
Do not close the ‘Jamstix’ audio plugin server window while Jamstix is open in your host. If all
your hosts are closed, you can close the window if desired. Leaving it open will improve load
times if you plan to open a host later on.

Hi JMD, those black lines you point to are what I was referring to as "GUI shearing" for lack of a better term. They are always white on my rig however. It usually happens when I drag the JS window past the edge of my monitor display and then drag it back into view.

Just a aberrant click generated this error message:

[img:806d9b4c94]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/191 ... error1.JPG[/img:806d9b4c94]

Actually, it was very minor everything continue to work, but then Reaper tried to crash on shutdown - but then closed ok. I have attached the rzdlog.txt.

Having major problems with the latest beta specifically Jamstix not saving work done. Next time I load a project that had a JS instrument in it that was created in 3.6 beta 14 the JS loads an empty kit and song everything gone.

Also having problems with epak kicks not loading I can preview them but if I load an electronic kit the kick has "No sound associated" even if I manually try and load.

Also getting graphic anomalies if I unlock the kit and audition a drum the scale from the master dynamic control dial moves to the left of the kit.

Any help much appreciated
Paul

BTW tried re-installing epak and not host related as happens in FL and Cubase
