Just curious about something here. I got this working but had to turn on the "monitor" button. Is there any other way? Am I missing something?Ralph [RZ] wrote:It's quite simple:
1 load JS and your other plugin separately into your host
2 add a MIDI track with input=Jamstix and output=Other Plugin (in some hosts you put them sequentially in the same track, i.e. REAPER)
3 check MIDI OUT ONLY in JS3 mixer so the internal samples are not loaded

Yes, track must monitor or it won't send the MIDI data through.

I swear I posted this before but I can't find it.
I'm not in front of my DAW right now so I'm going to try to do this from memory (sorry about that).
This might be something that I'm doing wrong, but I've done the same procedure in the past without problems.
I usually build my songs manually in the Part list rather than in song builder. This is usually because I'm not 100% sure about every aspect of the song in the beginning. So when it comes to endings I usually just right click on the last section of the song and select "Create Ending." When I do this it always puts the ending in the second position of the song.
For instance, let's say I have the following structure:
Silence
Intro
Verse
Chorus
Verse
Chorus
Bridge
Chorus
I want to create an ending to the song by right-clicking on the last chorus and choosing Create Ending. When I do that I end up with:
Silence
[b:b3ac285207]Ending[/b:b3ac285207]
Intro
Verse
Chorus
Verse
Chorus
Bridge
Chorus
Anyone else seeing this?
Info:
Windows 7 64bit
Sonar X1 (expanded) 64bit
Jamstix 3.5 Beta 10

Ralph, I absolutely love this software. Over the years it has been great. And the support is awesome. I have been playing with the beta version and offer this to help.
1. Customizing kit pieces has crash when deleting. So I pick BFD2 and save as new kit with rename and delete say percussion stuff it crashes.
2. When adding from a cleared kit kett memory address windows.
3. In Cubase time starts at zero so it is off one measure in the time since Jamstix starts at 1 but stays in sync.
4. I wish the fill section had a tom and cymbal hit grid like snare and kick has I find the manual input so helpful in creating detailed hit sections especially in the transition fills. I will keep working in it as I am just getting started using the beta.
I was using jbridge and 3.3 and thought I'd check out the beta 3.5. Glad I did. Cheers!

Thank you!
The Cubase bar offset can be fixed using the bar offset option in JS3.

I've just installed 3.5 and Reaper 64 bit to run it in. It worked fine until I deleted the Jamstix data folder so that I could point Jamstix to my old data.
Can I use my old data folder? Is there a separate ini file for 3.5? I have my dlls in c:/vstplugins and c:/vstplugins64, do they need to be in the same directory?

JS3.5 and JS3.3 use different data folders. Please reinstall 3.5.
