Happy to hear OSX is coming. I'm also ecstatic to hear that JamBassist is not forgotten.

I think an iPad version of Jamstix would really raise awareness of the product, I bet a lot of people would buy it that aren't even into music production, just hobbyists the play around on their iPad. An ipad version could also become a very legitimate tool to use live, or to take to a jam session with friends.

But please don't make me upgrade to Lion!!! :-)

Amen Ralph!!! That is awesome news. Can't wait to use this in 64-bit. Sonar X1-d is finally pretty stable (at least for me). Now all we need is a Jamstix Rack Extension for Reason and my life would be great...."no pressure."

Ditto on both!

For all the great features of Jamstix I've always thought the GUI is the weak point, so great to see this worked on.

Do you accept FRs for 3.5 in this thread? :)

I always found knobs mouse drag sensitivity in V3 too high for me, even though I know you can use shift for finer movements.

Any chance to have a setting for knob mouse drag sensitivity?

Thanks,
Mario

Well, try it with a wacom pen ;-)

It's the one thing that makes me use jamstix much less than I would like to.
I don't even have a mouse anymore and with the pen - even with shift pressed - you can make no exact adjustments in JS, just go in a general direction and try to only move 1/10000 of a millimetre to get there... but whoooosh - maximum overdrive again...

I look forward to the improved/updated GUI as well - a bit slicker and easier on the eyes would be cool. Less would be more for me personally.

Thanks and cheers!

The whole knob/slider code has been rewritten in 3.5 and I think you'll like it. Much smoother with two speeds that auto-adjust to the range. Mouse-wheel support is also much improved in that it works without prior main frame clicks and also features two speeds via SHIFT.

Thanks, looking forward to try it!
But please also consider an option to force mouse wheel to work only with prior frame click - I don't like having knobs move just because I'm moving the mouse wheel, it's too easy to do it by accident...
