Correct.
I didn't mean to be facetious if that's how it came over!

hey thanks so much
what a cool surprise! (the internet delivery e-mail)
I'm just THRILLED..... unfortunately for me my studio is literally in bits.... but the due date (you'll relate to that) for finishing was two days ago!
Hopefully I'll have it finished in two more days!
Having Jamstix 3 will give me that extra push!
Thank you so much for your hard work

I had he Jamboree pack from back in the day, and I had all the paks. I understood this was the same as JS2XL, with the upgrade it should have been 3 XL? I don't have the XL pack available for download, nor all of my other JS1 paks.
Of course, it's slightly different each time I look, so maybe I should just wait until tomorrow
OK, update: the JS1 paks are available, but the headings on the left are greyed out, which doesn't seem to mean anything.

Can someone please steer me to a step by step on what exact steps i should take to get JS3 up and running without any problems.
You know, things like, do i uninstall JS2 first, what do i do with my xl & Jamcussion libraries etc etc.
Really looking forward to this
Cheers

As they say "your mileage may vary..." but this is what I did:
[list:1a36487005]Uninstall all Jamstix versions
Manually delete remaining files and folders in the install locations
Manually delete the Jamstix DLLs and sub-folders from the VST folder
Manually delete the Start Menu shortcuts that remained
I didn't bother deleting anything from the Windows registry - but I guess you could do that too to finish off the process completely.
Next I installed the Jamstix3 via the install program
Then I started up Tracktion and did a re-scan. A Jamstix dialogue popped up and asked me for my license key, which I copy/pasted.
Once in Tracktion I added a Jamstix instrument then clicked on the "Kit" button, then "Install Pak". And then installed every Pak. I have all of them so it took a while. Not sure if the order matters - I installed the J3 Stock kit first and then basically alphabetical after that.
I may have restarted Tracktion at this stage
I then created some new songs via the Wizard - Bonzo, Metal, Jamcussion, etc...
Each time I did that I would get asked to enter the license key for that Pak. Which I did.
The End - all done. Working perfectly.

If you need to add Jamstix2 as well I'm not sure what variation to the list above makes sense.
