"Abstract Error" when inserting new parts - Sonar

I'm using a fully updated install of Sonar Platinum (64-bit) and Jamstix has always worked fine. However I haven't used it in a couple of months and when I tried today, found that I can no longer insert a new part in the song editor pane (by right clicking and selecting "new part")

I get an "Abstract Error" dialog and Jamstix locks up.

Any idea what this could be? Is Sonar likely to be the culprit, or perhaps a Windows 10 update?

Please re-create the problem, close SONAR and then email me Documents\Jamstix3\rzdlog.txt for review.

Sorry for the delay, I got caught up in other things.

Jamstix seems to be screwed in a lot of ways for me since the last couple of Windows 10 updates. Not only can't I insert new parts without getting the "Abstract error," but I also cannot use the Import style because when I click "load MIDI' in the style, it just brings up a blank grey window and the "Abstract error" messages appears underneath Sonar again. The program is now unusable for me. I'll email you the log file (where do I email it?) but I have a feeling development of Jamstix 3 is now abandoned and we won't see any new fixes or updates?

You've got something else going on with your system I think because I'm running Jamstix 3 on Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16232 and it still works properly for me. This is with Reaper however.

Long time user of both SONAR and Jamstix 3 here though I've never subscribed to the forum prior to now. I am on SONAR Platinum latest release (2017-6 rel 2) and Windows 10 64 bit - latest Creators Update build. I just tried to replicate Sharke's issue and couldn't - I can create a new part in the Song Builder by right - clicking without any difficulty. So appears to be a system specific issue. (Sharke - let me know if you need me to try something else for you).
