Is it possible to rename parts? Also, right-clicking to "create chorus" always puts the new chorus part after the first part in the song. Is this the expected behavior?

You can only rename the parts when they are created AFAIK. Right clicking a song part and creating a part will do the following:
Create Intro- creates part directly before the part right clicked.
Create Chorus- creates chorus directly after the part right clicked.
Create Ending- creates ending directly after the part right clicked.

I just tested it again and create chorus always puts the new chorus part after the first part in the list (in this case Intro) even when the part clicked is further down the list. A bit of a pain to have to redo an entire song to add a single chorus part. I'm using JS 3.5.0 64 in Reaper 64 - Windows 8 64. Are you using a different version?

Double click the part name. You should get a dialog box with the name, # of bars, length, time signature. There, you can change the part name.Jeff wrote:Is it possible to rename parts?

DOH! Thanks J.L. I've used that before and completely forgot about it! I guess I'm just really good at getting my parts named correctly the 1st time.
[b:0f5e65fdfd]EDIT[/b:0f5e65fdfd]: You don't even have to double click, just left click the "Bars" or "Reps" in the Song Sheet. I've done this a million times for time sigs, totally ignoring the part name!

Jeff, I'm using 3.5.1 beta 8 and it does work correctly for me. I do remember a while back that there was a problem with an earlier version doing something similar to what you are describing, but I can't recall if it was exactly the same problem off the top of my head, or what version. I'll look back through the forum and see if I can find it.
[b:470307528f]EDIT[/b:470307528f]: The only thing I found in the forum was involving beta 2 creating endings right after the intro.

I tried the beta, (I think...the splash screen still says 3.5.0), same issue. Any way, thanks I appreciate the effort.
