skipped due to early downbeat

You guys are too kind. Thank you!!

Fishy, I'll see what I can do about the locked notes on early downbeats.

skipped due to early downbeat

Sorry for necromantizing the thread, but I've got a pretty persistent problem with this.

Example situation: got a Standard Rock groove with a kick on 1 and a snare on 4-and (and some other stuff in between that probably doesn't matter here). Then there's a fill, with early downbeats definitely set to 0%, and yet JS claims that there is one, so the last 16th of the fill and the first 16th of the next bar is muted. I end up having no downbeat at all at the start of the new bar. I've tried removing and re-adding all of the notes in question with no result, and recomposing the fill a bunch of times with different "early downbeat" settings didn't change anything, either.

Any great ideas?

(PS. I'm not a drummer so terminology used in this post might be a bit stupid.)

What drummer did you use?

I actually planned on mentioning that but somehow forgot. Tony is the one playing this song.
(By the way, one of the other things I tried, without success, was to crank the style<->drummer slider for the fill all the way in both directions.)

Can you send me a JS3 save song with this behavior?

Sure, here's a song that contains one single part with the problem: http://jk.gs/downbeat_weirdness.j2d
It happens in the repeat fill. Even if I manually remove all visible notes from it, I still appear to have an extra kick in there, so there does seem to be an early downbeat... but I can't get rid of it because it doesn't show up anywhere. Unsurprisingly, If I mute all fills, the normal kick plays just fine.

We're still trying to figure out what happened. Meanwhile, try 'Reset Song' and see if it fixes it for you.

Right. I reset the song, and now I have unremovable early downbeats in other fills.
Just like before, though, only in some of them. It seems like the issue coincides with (invisible) china hits placed on the four-and in the fill, along with the early downbeat kick. That is, I don't have any broken early downbeats that aren't accompanied by a china hit. Dunno if that helps. Perhaps it's just random noise. No pun intended. ;)
