Jamstix & REAPER

Post by stpete111 »

Hi, just installed JS3 on this pc for the first time - opening Reaper 4.25 it crashes while scanning the JS3.dll, and therefore can't start it. This is Jamstix 3.5 on Win7 SP1. - 64 bit plug in in 64 bit Reaper.

The exact error message says:

"Plug-in 'jamstix3.dll' executed invalid operation during scanning,
Note if Reaper crashes as a result of this, simply run it again and it will continue on the next plug-in"

Any ideas on this one? Thanks.

Make sure the license key file is in the main Jamstix folder. If that is the case, send me rzdlog.txt from Documents\jamstix3.

Ralph, well that explains it. The license key was in the right folder, but when I went to get you the rzdlog file, there was no Jamstix folder in my Documents folder! Reason being, I installed Jamstix under the Administrator account but was trying to use it under my main user account. I copied the Jamstix folder from Admin's Documents folder to mine, and all is good now.

Thanks.

Hi,

As many, I have just installed JS 3.6: Actually, I cannot use it anymore in Reaper. I have CPU peak (100%!) which are totally abnormal. With the old 3.5, JS was currently using 3 or 4% of my CPU. It seems there is something wrong with the new update in Reaper.

Thanks in advance for a possible solution.

Ciao

Jamstix & REAPER

Hello,

I have a problem with Jamstix 3.6. I am running Jamstix 3.6 on Windows 7 32-bit with Reaper 4.62. When I start a project there occur dropouts and crackles. The CPU-load increases up to 30-40 % in small projects and up to 100 % in bigger projects. If I mute Jamstix then the problem does not occur. The problem exists since I upgraded to Jamstix 3.6. It would be great if someone could help me with this. I can not work with the current release of Jamstix at the moment. In addition I have the impression that moving the interface of Jamstix on the screen increases the CPU load significantly.

fab_z: please open Documents\Jamstix3\jamstix3.ini in NOTEPAD and add this line after [GENERAL]:

PriorityMode=1

If this does not help, please email me these files from Documents\jamstix3:

-apslog.txt
- rzdlog.txt
