Hi Baked,
The easiest way to get more or less of something in Jamcussion is to add, remove or change the Kit instruments. I always recommend removing JC instruments that are not needed. Drum 1-4 are usually the primary focus of most styles I've found.
The participation percentages are how much each percussionist is involved in the fills. Jamcussion is 3 separate "players" and if you look at the Bar Editor in JC you will see 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R, 3L & 3R limbs listed for the cell rows. These are the 3 players left and right hands and you can see which instrument each is focused on in the event cells. So pick the busiest one and change the instrument focused on in the Kit window to whatever instrument you want.
Whenever you hover your Mouse over a control, a description is shown in the Information bar at the bottom left of the Jamstix GUI. HTH

Honestly Jamcussion is somewhat of a mystery to me also. I don't use percussion very often and to be totally honest I don't even truly understand a lot of the elements and what they technically are. I usually just futz around until I come across something interesting.
