Hey
So I am only one day into trying jamcussion just a bit and it’s fantastic
One issue I’m having is the time signature keeps reverting back to what seems to sound the same regardless of 12/8,7/8,6/8,9/8 and I am not sure what to adjust , as I am new to it
Any ideas with middle eastern odd time sigs?
Thanks

Hi CR,
Are you setting the time signature for your Jamstix song part to correspond?

Hey Zimuth
I believe I have it set up...
To be sure, where is the setting to adjust the time signature, that you are referring to?
thanks
PS While I am at it, how do you make the darbuka the "main" drum, and then have a traditional metal kit playing in tandem?

Same as the drum side, left click the Bars/Reps # for your song part or double click the song part name and set it in the window that opens.
If you want to make one particular instrument the main focus you can remove other instruments in the kit that you don't want to be used, which I'd suggest anyway. You can change the Sound assignments for each individual Drummer in the Groove window to focus on the instrument you want. You can also right click their Title Bar in the Jamcussion Groove window and disable individual Drummers to eliminate them from the mix. You could also just make a custom kit consisting of nothing but the instrument you want focused upon.
There's a lot of ways to accomplish the same thing.

hey zimuth
Ok, i think, i found the area, but it is "unclickable", Iow its greyed out from changing the time sig (which is set to 4/4)
to be sure, im on the first/groove page, and i go to the left panel where there is a column of the songs parts (verse 1, chorus 1 etc)
i double click on EACH separate part, and i cannot change the time
Thanks in advance

First of all: you are right as usual. That’s exactly the problem and the solution. I can only say thanks so much for the diligent reply.a_zimuth wrote:Options>General Options> Allow Time Sig Changes disabled?

That was exactly what was wrong, the general options needed to be changed to allowing the changes!
BTW, thanks so much for that amazing mini gif/video - it was really awesome and impressive how easily you made that seem.l
Honestly, it is support like this, along with the extremely intelligent programming and unique coding, that made me choose this as the ONE drummer/drum VST for my Cubase 10.5 Pro.

I agree CR, I've never come across anything approaching what I can accomplish with Jamstix.
