Hi Bapu,
Thanks for the heads up on this plugin. I've been checking out for a few days now, haven't decided if I like it or not yet. I saw your post over in the Reaper forum regarding it. Are you involved with the developer, just curious?

I'm open to hearing what can be added/changed to make it a better plugin.
Version 1.6.0 dropped today with some stronger tools to develop the "whole" song,
Version 1.7.0, coming soon, has some more tools to make song development by section easier.

Hi Bapu,
You've done a very nice job on the plugin, the interface is great. Granted I have not dove in too deeply yet but the one thing that really seems to stick out to me is that BassMuse seems to focus more on just generating a lot of notes based on the chords entered rather than on "groove". Even with the Density set to minimum and Legato set to max, it seems to generate strange "gaps" in the composition instead of a "flowing" pattern. This seems to be the case with all of the player models I've tried also. This isn't criticism in the least, it could just be my expectations of what I look for in a Bass player are different from what you do and that's fine. I will continue checking it out and will get the update you mentioned since I'm still running 1.50. Congratulations on releasing it, I hope it is very successful for you.

We're working on the groove approach now. BTW I happen to be a bass player so I do understand where you are coming from.

Version 1.7.0 is released
What's new:
• Generate chords from dropped MIDI — drag a MIDI clip out of your DAW onto the arranger (a section, or the whole song) and BassMuse reads the chords and writes them into the grid. No more retyping progressions you already have.
• Drag a single section's MIDI — a "Selected section only" toggle scopes the Bass and Chords drag-outs to just the current section.
• Split a section — right-click a section band and split it at any bar.
• Plus a documented setup for Waveform (Tracktion) in the manual.
Update from inside the plugin's updater, or download the latest from your account.

Very interesting and friendly pricing. Until I understand, I could extract the generated MIDI to use it with my own bass library sounds?
Are you planning the use of chords with tensions? This is a limitation of the current version of EzBass, for example, although you can edit the MIDI at your liking.
I play bass too and like real bass sound, but tools like this can help in the composition process.

Never mind, I found the answer to my two questions in the manual:
-program generates MIDI.
-chords can have tensions (or extensions) and inversions.

Hi Knopf,
I've been testing BassMuse for a little bit now and the plugin is coming along very nicely. The developer is very involved, solicits feedback and suggestions from the people trying it out which is a huge asset IMO. Just to let you know.
