Stock EQ and Compression setting on kits

Hello Ralph, I am curious as to the thought process you used when adjusting the stock eq and comp settings on all your kits.
What were you trying to achieve when you made those settings? Were you eqing them in solo or with a music bed?
Why didn't you just provide the kits with no eq or comp settings?
I'm curious for more insight especially when mixing and adding comps or eq to individual tracks and how that affects things. Of course I season to taste and use my ears, but just curios if there was a reason for the mixer settings.
Thanks
