I'm releasing an instrumental guitar album this year (hopefully, but lots to do!) and let me just say, Jamstix is making drum programming an absolute joy. I used it years ago and though a little bit of a learning curve to get back into it, it's just SO amazing - a lot of the hassle trying to create real-sounding drums is just removed completely. Set your basic style and drummer, alter the brain controls a tad and it just comes up with the magic every time. Seriously amazing. I'm also using it to add little drum fills here and there in old master files where I can't change the drums - so it's spicing up previously dull tracks (more the manual edit mode this time). The audioM8 plugin brings the whole thing to life even more.

Great to see this. I'm never sorry I chose JS3 to learn for backing to my keyboard play.
Because you are a 'today' producer, it would be instructive , and enjoyable, to see some posts showing your JS Settings and some Song sequences for non-drummers like me to set up and adjust here and there as needed.
I would not expect your proprietary material, but perhaps some partials that are fairly close.

Remember I'm a non-drummer, too!
I just spend a lot of time going through the player profiles and the styles, then using the "dice" in the brain section to come up with something. Then I'll tweak the brain as needed and maybe sometimes put in additional beats myself. I don't hook up to BFD for other drum sounds or whatever.

"Racer" and "Fable" used jamstix but that was version 1 many years ago.

One strong reason I went with JS3 was the wide range of good kits, at least for my preferences, and no need for BFD, or AD, or ..... Of course, I have tons of choices in Stylus RMX as well.

Yes, I don't see a massive need to use external drum sounds. Saying that, the drum sounds on some of these other packages can really be astounding - so maybe one day...
For me, it's like having a live-in, real-life drummer. I'm not programming endlessly for weeks.
