Need an explanation an idiot can understand

Hi..is it possible for a fellow jammer to explain what this jammer is doing please but in a way that an idiot like me can understand and possibly impliment..thank you....Kevin

On entering the midi track: I normally set JS up to "Jam with Midi" so to do this I add a midi track (track #2) and using staff view, I add ONE quarter note. I copy and past that measure about 200 times. JS does NOT play that track, it simply looks and see's a midi track with data, and says to itself, " I need to play during this measure" and it creates it's very own unique drum track. If you set up JS 4 different times using this method, JS would play 4 slighlty different patterns each time.... it's as close to a real drummer as you can get...without the problems a real drummer has.

I'm not quite sure exactly what you are looking for as a reply. Jamstix will compose a new track every time on it's 1st run through. It is actually "composing" a new track every time within the song structure that you provided. After the 1st run through, all of the bars are composed and will not change unless you change a brain control. (In theory anyway, I've seen some strange things occur sometimes.) That is the most amazing thing about JS IMO. It is about as close to having a real drummer on call 24/7 as is possible. No human drummer would play the same performance 4 times in a row either. (Well maybe Charlie Watts or Peter Criss, but there's other reasons for that.)

To add to azimuth: 'Jam With MIDI' will NOT create a drum pattern. Instead it adjusts the performance of the style and drummer to the dynamics of the received MIDI data.

If I'm reading this right, you're wanting to write the drum parts in MIDI and then get JS3 to play what you wrote?
In this case, I would...
Set your MIDI track up, DRAG JS3 into the DAW, so that it sets up it's own Drum tracks - in Reaper it opens and routes 8 stereo audio and 1 Jamstix MIDI track - and send your written MIDI to the Jamstix track. Open the plugin on the Jamstix track and deselect the 'jam' modes and the song wizard mode - you should now see a few tick boxes... select your drum kit and press play and it should play what you wrote... I'm assuming this works similarly in other DAWs?
