Hello,

How can I "undo" my double install on js3 for the js2 stock kit and XL pack ? After i've done these I saw the migration tool. Can I just delete the desired files in the data folder and redo the migration tool so it will use js2 samples ?

I got enough drivespace but I would just like to being organized.

WHile i'm at it is it also possible to move the samples to my "sample drive"? so they are no longer on c:\ ?

I've got a dir d:\plugin-samples\where all my plugin sample go so I can keep streaming sepparated for that disk and host software/plugins to drive c:\

thx

You can manually port over your JS 2 sounds and work (i.e. kits, grooves, fills etc.).
Simply copy the following items from the respective Js 2 data subfolders to JS 3
1. fills (if you have custom made fills)
2. groovemaps (if you have custom groovemaps)
3. grooves (if you have custom made grooves)
4. kits (if you have custom made kits)
5. songs (for your own songs in order to make them appear in the wizard songs list).
6. sounds

After checking that everything went fine you can manually delete your JS 2 data folder.

thx, now I know what folders to move but do you really need to move them to the data folders, cant js3 find them in my D disk?

What I mean to move manually is the subfolders in the jamstix3 >> data folder in order to get rid of redundant data if you plan to use JS3 exclusively (like I do).

Cosmic, I think you just want to remove the JS2 stock and XL sound files from the jamstix3\data\sounds folder since JS3 can find them in the JS2 folder, right?

If so, you'll need to do a comparison of the two folders (js2\data\sounds and js3\data\sounds) and delete any files in JS3 that are in both folders.

yep, that's step 1 that I want. Step 2 is to move the data folder (with the sampels) to the drive/dir where I have all my other plugin samples. Is that possible?

Yes, just move the 'jamstix3\data' folder wherever you want.
