How to get stop-time "follow" drums like Rush 2112

Basically, the drums (could be kick+snare or knick+snare+hat) follow the the other instruments with no regular groove or in-between anything. Are there any tricks for achieving this? I have been doing it manually up to this point, but would appreciate tips for making this simpler.
Thanks.

I´m not sure I fully understand you.
Jamstix always follows the tempo of your host.
Did you record the other instruments to a click track?

This isn't tempo. It's rhythm.

I understand now. We speak of stops.
I don´t see it as "drums follow the other instruments" but more like "instruments play several accents or events in unison".
Well, just terminology.
I believe there´s no simpler way than hand- edit the events as Jamstix has no way of knowing when a special event of e.g. guitar and bass will occur.
If you analyze the pattern of events thoroughly you could switch Jamstix´groove weights to heavy for those events. Might be interesting how JS will interpret these. But I don´t know how predictable the results will be and in the end I think you´ll be better of with hand- editing.

Doc is right.
However, we are working on a 'groove builder', which should make stop time sections easier. This will likely not make into the initial JS3 release but come later on in a free update.
