MIDIMaps : GM and GM2

Looking at those 2 MIDImaps, I see:

[code:1:8f16852c03]1=38 ;Snare
2=37 ;Snare Side
...
38=38 ;Snare Center[/code:1:8f16852c03]
Is that first Snare line a typo? I cannot see a 1= line in the other MIDmaps (edit: I've just seen it in EZDrummer.mdmap).

If it is by design, then how do the two snare lines, driven by MIDI note #38, work?

Also, is there any difference between the Input and Output maps, other than their placement in folders?

When Jamstix plays internal sound 1 (general snare head hit), it will output key #38 to MIDI and if it plays internal sound 38 (snare center hit), it will also output #38 to MIDI.

Usually it's just placement.

Ah ha, thank you. :)

Is there a complete list of internal sound s somewhere? I had looked in Jamstix.mdmap as I thought that that might include them all.

The IDs have been added as Appendix B in the manual for 4.3.0 RC1. Simply run the manager to update.
