Just after Christmas I decided I should learn electric guitar, so I ordered one, plus an amp.
Bought a Guitarport, so I could have some cool sounds.
Bought Jamstix, for obvious reasons!
Upgraded Ableton Live lite 4 to v5 full.
Now I have to buy:
A MIDI-USB device (for my keyboard)
A microphone (so I can record my wonderful

voice)
More amps for Guitarport (because I'm greedy

)
And I don't know what else, yet.
And I've still got to learn to play the guitar!
Where will it end?
Ron

Hmmm.... looks like a severe case of G.A.S. (Gear Aquisition Syndrome)...
Incurable I´m afraid. 8)

Ah, yes, I've heard deadly stories about GAS... can be fatal, in fact.
Or you could end up like this guy:

For mics I got a SM57 (it's a requirement for every recording musician) and I plug that into my M-Audio Ozone (XLR input!). The Ozone acts as my external soundcard as well as having MIDI keys, sliders, knobs, etc.
Definitely check out M-Audio stuff for USB keyboards!

Hi gregjazz,
This is actually the first time I checked out the lounge. I also use Ozone - though the amount of use it has actually gotten is sad - I need more time!
I actually don't know anyone else who has one. Of course, being in Newfoundland, I probably have the only one in the province (Canada).
It has seemd to do a good job for me - with what I've done so far.
Geoff

But I hear investing in a "WIFE" can help contain it... or in my case cause you to hide the condition or actually the results of the condition which could have far worse implications than just having to deal with GAS itself.

The condition is called W.A.S. Unfortuneately it has nothing to do with collecting multiple wifes, but everything to do with her collecting multiple shoes.

I use a Roland MIDI interface for guitar and it is very cool!
It is extremely nice to play my VSTi with my guitar! Everybody should try!
