Hi Ralph, I just updated JS tonight to 3.6 and although the installation seemed fine, Nuendo fails to recognize 3.6. I finally got an error message about MSVCP100.dll (after a LOT of messing around). I then reinstalled 3.5 and it fails to recognize that as well (correct security key is being used) and does not show up in the plug in manager despite some serious evasive action. Been at this for a very LONG while and trashed prefs as a last resort (no registry issues either) and still no go. I am still 32 bit on my win XP host computer while MSVCP100.dll seems to be a 64 bit file.... any ideas?
Thanks,
chuck

Thanks for the quick reply. My current system is very stable and I want to keep it that way if that means not upgrading to 3.6. I do not meet the requirements for that installation -I am still at SP2. With no support for XP I'm not inclined to change anything at all as everything works fine.
I'd like to suggest that you state system requirements. Had I known it had different requirements than 3.5 I wouldn't have attempted the upgrade.
I finally got 3.5 back after creating a new vst plug in folder and linking to that. Why it took that after trashing the prefs is beyond me but it seems everything is back and working fine.

The specs for JS 3.6 on our site state "... (XP should work but is not officially supported) ".
It's really a mess with Microsoft and its redist packages. We have an XP machine here that is SP2 and runs Jamstix 3.6 fine. Apparently, MS changed the package later on to be SP3-only to force people to go to SP3.
Sorry about all this!

oops... I looked but did not find any sys req.... sorry about that.
I know my box is old but between it and the slaves I'm happy. A 64 bit host and upgraded hardware and software would be nice but I doubt it would change my life. I just want everything working and stable.
Thanks again,
Chuck
