workaround for 15/16 time sig

I enabled odd time sig in options, and tried to put parts of different lengths together to equal 15/16, but my host wouldn't play all the hits.

I'm using samplitude, js3.

Any suggestions?

15/16 is a very unusual time sig. JS supports only x/4 and x/8 time sigs. Sorry!

Yes, /16 meters are rare, but not less important. Might wanna include them in an update sometime?

Why not just use three measures of 5/8 at a faster tempo? (For 15/16 that is...)

Good idea, jas_lan, but 5/8 would be equivalent to 10/16, not 15/16.

Generally, our goal is to support x/16 time sigs in the future.

If the VST interface ever gets a better way of handling time sig changes and hosts treat compound sigs more conveniently, then we can do a lot with compounds as well.

What I mean is create a groove with three bars of 5/8, double the tempo and put your (real life) sixteenth notes on the eighth notes in Jamstix.
It is not actually 15/16 time, it is really 15/8, but it will sound the same. You just have to realize the difference in notation.

An easier way to think of it....
Rescore your music as a faster tempo of 5/8 with a three measure pattern.

Caveat: Depending on your original tempo (in 15/16) you may run in to a max tempo limit problem.
