Thanks i appreciate the help and will take a look later this evening. I was able to get a bit of progress, but really want to refine this process.

It will take quite a while to get your own work-flow.These things do not happen overnight.I've been,"Home recording" on and off for over 20 years and still not where I would like to be but pretty close.

I've got a new platform and am looking to switch; old daw software is now orphanware (Tracktion 3).
You particularly attached to Repear? Over the comptetition? Had and liked the old Cakewalk (Pro Audio), but didn't like Sonar layout, gave up after spending bucks on Cubase, and Tracktion is now orphaned.

Yes I am attached to Reaper. It has more flexibility than I will ever need and a nice simple GUI and is cheap enoughgear_head wrote:I've got a new platform and am looking to switch; old daw software is now orphanware (Tracktion 3).
