I\'ve messed up everything - help please

I've been having lots of problems with missing sounds in my kits (mostly from XL pak) for a long while--at least since I upgraded my PC in June of 2010. So, today I DLed the JS 3.10 update and decided I would "fill in" the missing sounds. I found the archived sounds on my HDD all the way back to JS 1 and copied them, then pasted them into the 2 locations where it seemed JS 3 might be pointing to sounds (in both my vst folder and another folder outside of vst-space).

Now when I load JS it silences my interface, crashes Sonar 8.5 and I have to reboot the interface (Cakewalk UA-25EX). I'm using Windows 7. How can I fix this?

I have just renewed all your download links. Please download/run the full Jamstix 3 installer (which is already 3.1 so no need to run the updater afterward) and then load all your Paks.

If you are using Vista or W7, run the installer via right-click->Run As Admin.

If you still have issues afterward, let me know.

OK. I did just that after uninstalling *3* instances of JS3 (3.0, 3.01, and 3.10). All kits are now there again, but I'm getting awful crashing while trying to change some parameters on the fly (songs through the wizard and kits). It forces a crash of SONAR, I have to cycle my interfaces power (it locks up), and when I try to reload any SONAR project that had an instance of JS3 that crashed, it locks my interface up again immediately (I guess the project is corrupted at that point).

I'll be upgrading to SONAR X1 after the next point release, so hopefully this will just go away. In the meantime, any help would be appreciated.

Now I can't change anything (load style, load player...). *Everything* crashes JS3, then SONAR, then my interface. JS3 is unusable for me and it is the only drum plug I use. I'm dead in the water.

I even tried removing my AUD.INI file. When I do so, my interface goes away (can't use its ASIO drivers). Do you think rolling back my PC to a previous state would help anything?

OK. I installed JS3.10 yet again. My problems seemed to start after I re-installed my JS1 paks (e-pak, brush-pak, snare-pak).

So far no crashes. <hopeful...>

There is no need to install the JS1 Paks since you have XL Pak.

Will the e-pak still be listed under Jamstix 1 though? I uninstalled and reinstalled everything again, and that is still the only place my electronik drum kits show up. The only thing under the "electronic" folder is "empty kit, and "empty kit + percussion).

So far things are running OK after the last install (that's my 3rd install today). Crossing fingers.

BTW, thanks Ralph!

Double-click on 'Electronic' and you will see its contents.

 Duh...

..but on the other hand, I spoke too soon about the crashing. Just had another one. Same results.
