Kit like Addictive, BFD, Superior etc. require that that 3rd party product is installed. So, for example, if you don't have BFD then the BFD kit won't work.

The JS2 crash on removal/reinsert is a known issue with certain hosts and has been fixed in JS3.

The updater message on VST scan is covered here:

The updater thing is fixed.

Got all the kits loaded that I should be loading. I already own EZD and SD2 so that's why those load ok.

Back to the mixer and the routing.... lots of cool stuff in here to learn. Definitely a major leap forward from JS2. The JS3 seems to be working flawlessly in my little corner of Reaper.

Thanks for the help.

Ralph,

First, thanks for making such a powerful and useful tool.

I've been having a problem with accents being skipped because the "song power level is too low" to play them (indicated when hovering over the red X's that are being skipped). What's strange is this is occurring with the Power dial at 80% and even 91%.

The skipped accents only happen when the Power Level is being driven by recorded CC data. If I mute the CC data and set the Power Level with the mouse to 80% or 91%, the accents are not skipped anymore and play as expected.

One thing that seems strange/interesting is that the Power dial moves to zero when playback is stopped in REAPER. I'm not sure if this is the result of settings in REAPER, or by design, etc. It doesn't matter where it's stopped, it still returns to zero. Upon resuming playback, the Power dial returns to where it should be based on the position of the song and the last CC data received at that point in the song.

The bug seems to be that the Accent parts are triggering based on the zeroized position of the Power dial, but the Groove parts trigger based on the last received CC data.

When you get a chance, I'd love to know how to get this figured out!
Thanks again.

Saw: please add the line 'MouseBlockMove=1' to the 'General' section in jamstix3.ini and see if it helps.

string: I'm gonna check that out. As far as power to zero goes, it sounds like a typical 'Controller Reset' that some hosts do on stop. Please check the REAPER docs if you don't want that behavior.

Jamstix 3 crashes very often in Reaper 3.52. I've just sent rzdlog.txt to support@rayzoon.com. If you need any more info pls let me know.

I have a problem with JS3 and Reaper 3.52 too. There are no crashes but JS3 simply doesn't play all what has been composed. With the same settings it seems to be no problem in Cubase 5.01.

Can you describe this in more detail?

Some more info:
The output of JS3 (MIDI and audio) was disrupted. The kits work fine (JS3 kits as well as Superior2 as a subhost).
When I disable "Allow Time Sig Changes" it works again (had no changes in this project). If "Allow Time Sig Changes" is activated again it may work or not or Reaper crashes.
