Jamstix 3.5 RC1 (VST/32, VST/64, RTAS/32) Available

Found something new (why is is it always after sending a mail where you state that nothing is working that you get a step further? ;-) ).

So far I had always tried the wizard first. This leads to the state I described before, where the interface is basically dead.

Now finally I tried to load a style before I did this and voila, I was able to load it, load a player and even a kit. So it seems that the wizard is killing my interface somehow.
It worked for a while, although things were still a bit weird in that after loading another style, the accent and fill pages were suddenly blank.

I then tried the wizard and got an "Access violation at address 0000000300000003. Write of address 0000000300000003"

Jamstix 3.5 B6 was dead then, I tried to load something else and got an "Access violation at address 000000001AB3123B in module 'js3sl64.rtxc. Read of Address FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF."

S1 didn't crash, but whatever I did I got different such messages.

Seemed pretty borked ;-)

After reloading S1 (this time with Admin privileges which doesn't seem to matter though) I played around some more and while it feels flakey and I got some more Access violations, I was able to load stuff and try some things, as long as I don't touch the wizard.

Regarding the Interface: Now with the new and more slick interface elements, the rotary dials look very aliased in comparison.

Cheers,

Tom

Ralph,

What do I have to do to move the x64 beta JS data folder to a different drive? I've tried moving the way I do for v3.3 but JS crashes whenever I try to load it in Reaper. I've changed the data path in Jamstix.ini and JS3.ini but it makes no difference. In fact, the JS3.ini data path keeps getting changed back to the original path. As soon as I put the data folder back in it's original location, everything works fine. Thanks.

Please move the whole Jamstix3 folder to the new drive and then go to Documents\Jamstix 3 and edit sllink.txt to point to that new location.

Do you mean the Paks install fine but you don't see their kits in the load dialog? If so, that is intentional. Jamstix 3.5 does not support RDM files anymore.

No the kits are visible , including all the details of each drums (The packs re-install with no errors but the will not load as a kit (actually load the drum sounds ).
I notice that all my .rxp2 files extensions load up fine, but none of my .rxp extension files play.
For example DrumPak #1 and DrumPak #2, ePak or SnarePak.

Fairly considerable CPU usage in Studio One ( 2.06).

That is a single midi track playing the standard kit.

These problems still exist:
1) Embedded GUI in Reaper [b:cb227710f8]:CORRECTED[/b:cb227710f8][/color:cb227710f8]

This may be a Reaper problem Ralph but just wanted to let you know in case you want to address it.

2) 8th Rock Style presets More & Most do not compose. (Too big for thumbnail) [b:cb227710f8]:CORRECTED[/b:cb227710f8][/color:cb227710f8]
