By default in LPX, when you create a new instrument track, it's set to receive MIDI from all possible MIDI channels coming into LPX. This includes the IAC bus. So no, there is no additional step needed for this.bean_boy wrote:

When I can get it to load, I get the same thing, no sound...BUT...the percussions on the side if I click them do make a sound.. Just not the drum set...bean_boy wrote:

No that's normal behavior for LPX. Just playing grooves inside a drum plugin and hitting Record in LPX is not going to give you any recorded output, audio nor MIDI. LPX is not looking at grooves playing inside a plugin as "MIDI Input". For plugins like SSD and EZ Drummer and the like, you drag the MIDI groove that you want directly onto the track, then it's there for you to playback. It sees your incoming MIDI from your keyboard as input to be recorded, that's why it's recording it. It also sees the output from the JS IAC bus as MIDI input, which is why it will record that as well.bean_boy wrote:

Have to say that this is all very confusing - not like Studio One where it's nice and simple. For this, I'm missing where we tell JS to output on the Jamstix MIDI track, and where we tell SSD to listen to the Jamstix IAC track for input. So that's normal, but we gotta figure out why you're not getting SSD to see the JS3 MIDI output.
Ok first question for you - open your Environment in LPX. Make sure one of the two instrument channel strips is highlighted. Go to Options -> Go To Previous Layer. Do you see items in that list for "Sequencer Input," "Physical Input," "Input View," and "Input Notes" ?bean_boy wrote:
