Dewdman: sorry about the additional delay in my response!!!
I can't replicate the issue here. What host are you using?

hmm, ok. strange. I'm on DP8. I just setup a midi monitor with MidiPipe and sure enough there are the CC4's.... Then I went back to try it again on DP8 and now they are there! Maybe some styles or drummers aren't using CC4?

Is there some sort of trick/setting that needs to be changed to have hi-hat dynamics to track better? It seems like SSD4 does not respond well at all, relative to AD2...
?

Can you elaborate a bit on what the problem is?

I guess I need to tweak velocity settings, unlike AD2 SS4's hats "sweet spot" dynamically doesn't correspond to Jamstix - there is no dynamic fluctuation?Ralph [RZ] wrote:Can you elaborate a bit on what the problem is?

Try the 'Compressed' velocity translation on the hihat in the kit editor and see if that helps.

SSD4 Mappings (Now Available)
Does anyone have this working?
I read this thread but am having issues. For ex, in Jamstix I load the SSD4 Default Kit and the shaker is using E10. But in SSD4 none of the shakers use E10 and I does not look like I can convert it in SSD4 so that the shaker I want in SSD4 uses E10. E10 is not avaliable in SSD4. So I tried D2 and I hear the HH. The mapping loaded in SSD4 shows D2 mapped to Shaker Wide.
I loaded Steven Slate Drums V4.kmap Key Map (mine is timestamped 7/9/2012) and this still shows the shaker at E10 also. Do we need to load the key map still? SSD4 Slate Rock 01 uses E6 for the shaker.
In SSD4, do I need to load a certain Map Converter? I tried one called SSD4_to_Jamstix but this did not help.
If someone has this working, do you mind summarizing the correct method in a bulletized fashion? This would be a tremendous help.
Thanks
Brian
