Anyone with stability issues, please add this line to jamstix3.ini under the [General] section:

BarIconNotes=0

and see if it helps.

I still have issues with Cubase 5.52/64bit with this latest beta. Usually Jamstix loads ok, and the GUI presents... a few times but it eventually get's to the point where the gui shows up blank and in fact playback sometimes seems to stop entirely in this situation as well.

Also, I don't seem to have MIDI output anymore? The JS interface (when I can see it) shows there is MIDI out activity but when routed into a MIDI track for recording I get nothing happening.

PS Just had JS crash - a bit more dramatically this time. Cubase reports VSTBridge Connection lost. I have sent log file.

Anyone with 64-bit host issues, especially Cubase 5, please test the latest Beta 12.

I can say that JS 3.1 Beta 12 on Sonar X1a is very unstable. The only thing I load into the song is JS3. I'm using Sonar X1 [b:291549564d]32-bit[/b:291549564d] on Windows 7 [b:291549564d]64-bit[/b:291549564d]. Some things I noticed:

1. Depending on where you put the Now time in Sonar and then start playing, JS3 would randomly remove notes from an already composed part, sometimes all notes except for maybe just one kick. For instance if I put the Now time a 1/4 bar before the start of another bar, that next bar would miss notes. Sometimes the visually missing notes would actually play, other times they would just be silent. Then if I move the Now time a bit earlier, say 1/2 bar, the next bar would play properly.

2. Sonar X1a hangs randomly while working in the JS3 UI. Sometimes it even crashes when loading a song that contains [b:291549564d]only[/b:291549564d] JS3.

3. Sonar X1a becomes even more unstable when sub-hosting Battery 3 (latest version) inside JS3.

I am not sure whether these issues are from Sonar X1a or from JS3. Either way it is essentially unusable. I know there is currently some issue with Sonar X1a and ASIO drivers, but I have tried both WASAPI and WDM/KS drivers and the same issues exist.

Ralph I sent a couple of the rzdlog.txt files to your support email address. Note that rzdlog_6.txt seems to have some relevant info about a crash.

Beta 14 is out now. Anyone with these issues:

- freeze pauses
- GUI open/close problems
- crashing

Please test this beta and let me know how it works for you.

I played with JS3 the other day and didn't get it to hang or crash, and that was a good feeling!
