Ralph,

Midi drag and drop is not working for me in Sonar X1 or Reaper. Other synths that support drag and drop are working. Has this been removed?

Thanks,

Ken

Worked with beta 6 tonight for a few hours, smooth, no problems encountered, used in conjunction with HALion and Kontakt, was able to load and unload other VSTi's while playing with no crashes. Nice! MIDI jamming is working fine but I still can't for the life of me understand how to get audio [i:ff27429df0]into[/i:ff27429df0] JS for jamming (no audiom8.dll!)

When I try to load the new 64 bit version in 64 bit Reaper I get the following message when I try to load a style:
Cannot create file "C\Program Files\REAPER (x64)\im.dat. Access is denied.

Searched for a log file and didn't find anything.

Initially I checked when this happened on Thursday and didn't find anything - appears that subsequently someone had this issue with Cubase. Just FYI, the account I'm running under has an Administrator role, so at this stage I'm not sure how to address this.

Any ideas on what else to check?

Beta 6 appears to have solved all of the problems I reported in the short test I did tonight. I didn't check the Big Time display to see if that has been resolved but that was a minor issue anyway.
There seems to be more clicks and pops in my audio with this latest beta but I need to test more to confirm that. If that is the case, it may be my audio interface drivers which have always been extremely sensitive to any graphical changes for some reason. Thanks Ralph for your unbelievably quick fixes to the reported problems. You guys are a model which more software companies should try to emulate.

Update: The Big Time display is fixed and the clicking and popping turned out to be a Reaper issue.

First thing: My Wacom pen now finally works perfectly in the jamstix interface. What was close to a showstopper before now is smooth and precise.
THANKS!

The new parts of the intereface look pretty good to me as a designer.
But now the old parts start to show their age even more. May be time to go over the whole interface and make it look more slick, more 2013, subtle, stylish and easy on the eyes... ;-)
IMO that could also help the general recognition of Jamstix - It is a fantastic plugin but looks very dated (to me at least).

A lot of screen estate is taken by those humongous frames that serve no real purpose. The Tabs on top are huge (Song, Kit ...) but would work just as well with half the size and without all the fake metal.

IMO, with all those frames gone, the resurected space could go into many of the buttons, dials, grids, labels and sliders which are what I really work with and which are pretty small while the frames etc. are just dead meat but huge - Imagine using Jamstix on one of those new retina displays - they have more pixels than my huge 30" screen but are just 15"... ;-)

Dropping M8 isn't possible I fear. Too many hosts don't allow sending Audio to VSTIs (Studio One is what I'm testing with ATM.).
It's definitely needed (or some other, similar solution).

I just realized that I have zero functionality and need to install all the packs again...

Will report back later how that goes.

Cheers,

Allright, installed all the packs (the new install window is nice, allowing to install all of them in one go), restarted my host (Studio One Pro 2.0.6 x64) but I still have zero functionality:

Clicking on the Wizard and then select one of the entries (which all show up) does nothing.

I can't load a style or a player or a kit - nothing at all happens if I select the entries from the menu.

The main screens are all empty.

When I click on the Options Tab the first time, I get an empty screen and have to explicitly select General or Jamming.

I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit with 14 Gig of Ram.
Jamstix 3.5 is installed in a separate folder on drive E:, my VST64 folder is on C:/Musik (not in one of the default folders).

I run Studio One x64 as Administrator because of jBridge.

I have Beta 6 installed.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Found another bug Ralph:

[img:766244d65c]http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb471/mephitis/Jamstix%20GIFs/th_IntroLastBarOnlyProblem.gif[/img:766244d65c]

The Last Bar Only gets selected again also if I use the Player dropdown menu visible in the GIF. I discovered that after making this GIF. [b:766244d65c]:CORRECTED[/b:766244d65c][/color:766244d65c]

Also fellow Reaper 64 users if you are seeing strange things happening such as the GUI not loading properly when adding Jamstix to a project track or menus acting completely crazy, check the following. Right click Jamstix in the add fx menu, under "Run as" deselect Embed bridged UI. It was causing me all sorts of headaches until I figured out what was going on.
