We've broken everything into packages so if only one package is affected by a change, that's all the installer will fetch and run. It's all transparent to the user but it allows us to respond fast to bug fixes and also to push enhancements and new feature fast and painlessly.jas_lan wrote:Yes. I have already updated. It took about 15 seconds!
Ta Ralph !! Is there a link on the main site for the latest manager. Cannot see it? <----- scrub that, it auto updatesRalph [RZ] wrote:If you have the Beta, I recommend this:CSMT_01 wrote:Well done!!
As a beta tester of J4, do I just run the manager for the latest release version, or need to do something else?
cheers

- delete or rename your c:\ProgramData\Jamstix4 folder
- manually delete any jamstix4.dll in your DAW plugin search path
- delete the start menu 'Jamstix 4' entry
- get the 1.0.9 manager and install Jamstix 4
Open the manager, click 'Options' and tell me if the 'Install AI Files Only...' box is checked.nightscoper wrote:Manager says all is installed OK.
However, any kit I load has all the kit pieces missing. So no sounds. The kit is showing all in RED in the GUI.
So far doesn't work.

No, the AI box is unticked. I can see I've got about 4 gigs of sounds in the Jamstix Data Drive /data directory. Manager is pointing to the right /data directory.Ralph [RZ] wrote:Open the manager, click 'Options' and tell me if the 'Install AI Files Only...' box is checked.
Please email me these files:nightscoper wrote:No, the AI box is unticked. I can see I've got about 4 gigs of sounds in the Jamstix Data Drive /data directory. Loading the "Country" Kit I get one measly Crash cymbal. All the rest are "redded" out. Most of the Kits load nothing or just a single cymbal or two.
Manager says all my 6 downloads are UP-TO-DATE.

Yep. Installer must have got it wrong. I'm on D: for sounds. .ini has it as SoundFolder=C:\Jamstix 4 Data\data.max.noise wrote:Hi nightscoper,
maybe I can help. I had the same issue and was able to find the solution.
I assume you have your Jamstix 4 data folder not on the C: drive?! That was at least the cause for my problem: I have all my sample content on E:\..., so I have choosen that location during installation.
Then I started to play around with Jamstix 4 and all the sounds were missing.
The reason: the path was somehow messed up and the jamstix.ini file (in C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4) contained the line "SoundFolder=C:\Jamstix 4 Data\data".
I simply changed the C to E and it worked.
Check your INI file, maybe it's the same problem on your system.
Good luck and groove on,
