Actually, it is the installer. It runs in admin mode and creates a folder that is not accessible to the current user so JS fails trying to load files from there. We already have a new installer in testing and verified that it fixes the issue.

Beta 4 is now out with various fixes.

Please manually delete the Documents\Jamstix3 folder on your system before installing this Beta if you have Beta 3 installed.

Also, we've added a 32-bit RTAS Beta to the installer for those who'd like to help us debug that release.

Beta 4 seems to have fixed the need to run as Administrator (thanks!) but it took me a few attempts to understand that I need to run the [i:b7c9c3d9e5]installer[/i:b7c9c3d9e5] under my own account (not Administrator!) in order to get the GUI to appear. This is a little strange compared to other plugins with .exe installers, but hey, it works now!

[EDIT] The PAK Installer is a bit strange in that the main window stays on top when the file selector opens ... it's also possible to click "Select PAK files" and get a second file selector window open. Minor detail though.

[EDIT] Spent some time with it tonight, no crashes, nothing going seriously wrong apart from a few audio glitches when bringing up the GUI. Very stable as betas go. Have managed to get MIDI jamming working within Cubase but can't figure out how audio jamming could be set up without audiom8.dll

[EDIT] Had one total crash of Cubase (first one since 6.5.1) while trying to load JS3.5 while a project was playing. The idea was to replace part of a Kontakt kit with JS3.5 as a sample player using Jamcussion. Cubase crashed on loading JS3.5, which had not previously been in the project.

Beta 4 still cant return from selecting a non JS3 drum set.
1) select BFD or EZdrummer, OK no sounds head as expected in JS3
2) Switch back to JS3 standard kit. Nothing happens. it does not load.

Fails in Studio One and Reaper. ( will test Sonar X1d next)

Note : You can force a kit to load via selecting a new song in the Wizard, but no sounds will play back.

Can't confirm this; I can load "JS2 Standard" (can't find any "JS3 Standard", and I have all PAKS?), sounds OK, then load "BFD 1.5 Full set" or "BFD 2 Vistalite", no sound as expected, then load "JS2 Standard" again and everything's back to normal. Click "Downmix" in the mixer?

I had "Never down-mix" set in options.
If I turn it off, then select it, the sounds come back if a kit loads.
That was in Reaper. Will test in Studio One now.

[b:ff9b36d7f7]Did some more debugging:[/b:ff9b36d7f7]
Checked out the procedure in Studio One and cannot get any kit to load after loading a BFD2 kit. (down mix set to off) Tried both load button and double clicking a drum set.

Went back to JS3.3 and confirmed returning ot a JS3 drum-set after loading a BFD2 set successfully returned to a JS3 set.

There is no such thing as JS1 kits in my new 3.5B4 list anymore.
There are instead DrumPak #1 and # 2 kits so I assumed they where just renamed. ( they wont load) However, kits like Rock Big Kit will load after a BFD load.

Here is a complete run down of Paks on my system (although the kit pieces show up) they will not load:
BrushPak
DrumPak #1
DrumPak #2
EPak
SnarePak

And they are all RXP files.
Ran re-install on the RXP files and they did still do not respond.

Also on another note there appears to be no drag and drop in 3.5 b4. It works in JS3 3.3 ( via jBridge) but not in new 64 bit plugin.

Hi Ralph,

The Bar Preview problem still exists in the new beta. Bar preview can't be deselected after it is chosen. [color=red:8efe96afc4][b:8efe96afc4]:CORRECTED[/b:8efe96afc4][/color:8efe96afc4]

There is a minor glitch in the Big Time display. The song part name's last character is clipped. [color=red:8efe96afc4][b:8efe96afc4]:CORRECTED[/b:8efe96afc4][/color:8efe96afc4]

Yes, it's not perfect. The rub is that we need to call a separate executable now for Pak installation since our decompression code could not yet be ported to 64-bit. Many users have JS stay-on-top so the installer app would launch behind it, hence we set it to stay-on-top.

If this happens again, please send me rzdlog.txt right away.
