*Buys Jamstix in December to get the awesome discount*

*Sits and waits patiently (impatiently) to use it since I don't have Windows*

Now that I know it's really actually happening, I'm fine with them taking the time they need with the beta testing to get it right. I'm in no rush to get a buggy product. I'm just glad it's not a pipe dream anymore for this to be a Mac product.

I saw some mention of Jamstix 4 in recent months. I have no idea what new features are planned for it. Some things I can think of...

16 channel mixer... To go with the 16 outputs, of course.

Production ready kits... For those of us who don't know how or don't want to bother with all the compression, EQ, reverb, etc. For example, a kit that sounds like Didacts and Narpets out of the box (I have no idea how that was done!) Or, maybe an advanced mixer with presets that makes the sound happen and the ability to change those presets or settings in different parts of the song (very important piece of the advanced mixer feature!).

The ability to access and adjust drummer fill characteristics and behaviors.

Ability to "save drummer as...". Similar to "save style as..." Say, for example, I start with a particular drummer then add some brain elements from another drummer. I know about the Save Style Preset and Save Player Preset and must admit I need to explore these features more carefully but, if I remember, they only allow saving the settings of the EXISTING brain elements and not adding new brain elements and then saving.

Any information on what might be new or when to expect it? I do realize that developers don't like to divulge this type of information but asking can't hurt!

Either way, I am fairly certain I will be buying it as soon as it is available.

:D

I heard through the grapevine that the biggest selling point is going to be the new Meg White drummer model!

LOL

jas_lan: check out 'Save Style Preset' and 'Save Player Preset'. They DO save any added brain elements. We don't have any official feature list for JS4 at this time.
