We had to make a hard call on the interface size. Jamstix 3 is just a little bit wider and higher than Superior 2.0, AD and other modern drum plugins. Mainstream resolution today is 1280x1024 and it will only grow from here.

Great! At 200$ for 20 inches monitors and laptop able to go 1440 on 15", that would be a step backward to stay at lower than 1280...

Dali (41, wearing glasses but want to see lots of info in his display)

Higher resolutions are not may not be the issue as you can only physically go so far.I doubt people will be using 30" monitors. Also what about visually impaired people or people who have trouble with higher resolutions?

Also you did not address the Bar editor comment. At the moment it's terrible IMHO.

Bar editor icons are vague and not as good as JS2.
I find the new icons to be much clearer than JS2.

Ouch - sounds like a done deal. My month-old laptop is at 1366x768. I wasn't even going to look at the beta until I saw this discussion. I get vertical scroll bars no matter what and horizontal ones if I want to see Reaper's transport controls.

Are you sure about that resolution? That's an LCD TV resolution, not any kind of native laptop resolution I've ever seen.

Check your settings, maybe it's just not set to its max.

Sheppol_A: please send me your rzdlog.txt file and tell me what you did when the error appeared. Also, bar editor icons are a matter of taste. As you saw from an earlier poster, some like the JS3 icons better.

Fine but I think you will be well served to give people the option to change them or add skins. Also the GUI,even with a larger monitor,is too cumbersome in relation to the working area IMHO.You should consider allowing the Bar editor to be accessed separately as it's the main area of work.
A common complaint about Jamstix is the interface. It has not been improved IMHO and if anything you are making problems for yourself. You asked for beta testers and therefore feedback. You may not agree with my statements but they valid and researched.
With the sophistication of JS and the Quality of it's sounds it should be a market leader,it's not. Why?Because you are not listening to,"Joe Public" and I'm,"Joe Public".
Many people are turned off by the demo because it's just too much hassle to get working. The easy interfaces of AD and EZ mean people buy them because they are easy to get on with even if they are an inferior product IMHO.
