I like to automate the heck out of that knob throughout a piece.

And for the numptys and near numptys like me, I would just add to make sure to have the "DYN" knob (right next to the power knob) turned way down (CCW, around 8PM), otherwise turning the power down won't have much of (any?) effect.

Just wondering, is there any reason not to have the DYN knob all the way down? Having it turned up any seems to just remove freedom to adjust dynamics with the Power Knob, I guess I'm missing something?

The dynamics knob works like a compressor and keeps the volume level consistent regardless of the playing nuances. The more clockwise it is , the less difference between the loudest and quietest sound.
