I checked out the song file. What happens is that the MIDI export contains the original hihat notes as well as the ride/hat foot notes that were created from it by the power hand brain element.
Click Song Menu>Clear->Clear Buffers to fix this.

Hi Ralph-
I was hearing those hihat notes in JS as well, before the MIDI export. I'll try the Clear Buffers command.
Thanks-

This is driving me crazy as well. I have a song that I have cleared a pattern, but it still has a kick at the beginning. It followed the instructions in this thread and still having the same issues.

Please do a "Save Song" in JS3 of this project and send me the file as well as the bar number where this happens.

I sent you the file a few days ago(from
steve@organical.net) ...I have cleared bar 8 but still get a kick. This isn't an isolated incident, I have had this come up on several ocasions.

Is this with Jamstix 2 or 3? I've checked your file here with JS3.6 and bar 8 is completely silent for me.

It's the latest version of Jamstix (3.6)
When I loop the bar it doesn't play the first time, but then does on each loop after that.

However unlike other brain items, last night I was not able to left click/disable this. Is there any way I can make those "Crash after fill"s go away if desired?
Thanks!
Thought I'd bump ... is there a way to disable "Crash after fill"? Left click doesn't do that here -
Thanks!

Try Brain Menu -> Fill Options -> uncheck Ends Fill With Crash. This will uncheck this option in all fills of the part.
If you want to do this for a whole song, use Song Menu -> Global Actions -> Disable 'End Fill With Crash" in All Parts.
