this question is for the OP.
Are you running Sonar 64 or 32 bit? do you have the sonar patches installed?
If you have usb midi device try unplugging it and see if that corrects the crashing.

Repeatable Sonar 8 PDR Problem
Am running 32 bit.
Am now running 8.5.1 ( so it is the latest ) And issue still persists.
I do not have USB midi device. All the same I turned off audio and midi FW i/f and that did not help either.

Repeatable Sonar 8 PDR Problem
I am alse seeing lots of crashes in Sonar due to JS 2. Sometimes while it opens, other times while I close Sonar. My "Reliability History" is littered with Sonar crashes. I use JS2 2.5.2, Sonar 8.5.1 PE, Windows 7 x64.

Jamstix 2.5.3 Beta 12 is out and suppose to have fixes for sonar try that to see if it resolves your issues

The new beta (2.5.3 Beta 12) fixes issue reported originally in this thread.
I am running 32 bit, Win 7, Sonar 8.5.1 and I can now click on a Sonar project Icon on my desktop and Sonar opens with no issues and Jamstix2 loads in project no problema.
