Need to ask this, not trying to be a wiseguy, but you have loaded a drum kit and it is [b:fb9b03868f]NOT[/b:fb9b03868f] set to "MIDI Output Only"? What drum kit do you have loaded?

The Pop kit but I've tried several and no one seems to work properly

are you using the same MIDI channel? is the track armed? it probably is since you can see the MIDI icon flash.

any luck installing a MIDIMonitor VST?

you must also have the MIDI set correctly or the MIDI icon will not flash. I tested in my studio to see if it blinks with a MIDI channel mismatch.

this one has me stumped. what DAW are you running? i use Reaper on Win10 and tested with Reaper's Virtual keyboard.
