Bass players don't stand out stylistically in everyday music as clearly as drummers so JB will be far more style-focused. However, we have a few concepts for recognizable player models.

I wouldn't want too much of standout styles per say, but more of fitting in with the groove and being in the right places like a good bassist does....give a song what it needs, rather than a hoggish overly busy style. Though I suppose it would have a complexity level adjustment.

As a guitar player, I play bass for my own music and try to think like a bass player or wear my bass cap so to speak. That is not simply follow along only to the root chords like a guitarist woukd think, but walk up to, land on and pass through with tastey but subtle runs; but not trample all over a piece like a herd of elephants.

..a a long-time customer of Jamstix since way back in the day I think I could offer some feedback as to a beta of any Bass VST you might produce.

...and one suggestion already is perhaps make Bass (drum map style) Maps for the different articulations trigger keys of the common Bass VST out there- like Kontakt Scarbee Pre Bass, Jazz, and MM Bass as well as Trillian..
