Nice! How come I've missed this, I guess I've overlooked it if it is in the manual, ;-). Everyday I'm finding out some kick-ass features in this program. Well done, Ralph!

Edit. It's on page 25!

One thing that I've noticed regarding the zero offset feature is that just shifting focus to the Jamstix window is not enough for this to work. You must also "click" within the Jamstix gui. Has anyone else noticed this? The dropdown menu indicates F11 & F12 as the keystroke for this, not ctrl+F11 & ctrl+F12. Just minor things I've noticed so far I wanted to make others aware of. Nice feature by the way Ralph, thanks.

Ralph [RZ] wrote:@genmce_1:

Please check out 3.5.1 Beta 2 and see if it works for you. It has two new options in the song menu under 'Host Synchronization' so you can set and reset a song offset. Please first add this line to Documents\Jamstix3\jamstix3.ini under[GENERAL]:

AlwaysSync=1

Here is how it works. Whenever you click anywhere in REAPER's timeline, Jamstix will jump there even if stopped. Now click 'Assume Current Position As Zero Offset' (or CTRL+F12) and Jamstix's bar counter will reset to 1:1:0. That way you can play from this point in REAPER and Jamstix will treat it as bar 1. You can reset anytime with 'Remove Zero Offset' (CTRL+F11).
Sorry - was out of it for a bit.
Thanks so much for this - now where do I find the beta - is it back on the site listed in the email with the key?
EDIT - found it.
Will test this evening and report back.

Hey - Thank you for the addition.
I am unable to get ctrl+f12 or ctrl+f11 to do anything or f11/f12.
I need to confirm I have not mapped them to something else in Reaper.
I don't think I do as I have not mapped much in reaper.
I assume that JStix - needs to have focus for the f-keys to work.
I can use the mouse to got to >host syncro> and get it to work.
Is there anyway I can get you to let us map that to a controller?

Thanks

Ctrl-F11 and Ctrl-F12 works for me here. Do you see Beta 2 listed in the ABOUT screen?

I'll see what we can do about MIDI control.

Yes - 3.5.1 beta 2 (x32)
Running XP pro sp3 on a Dell 5410 lappy.
I confirm ctrl+f12 is not mapped to any action.

I am unable to get ctrl+F12 to do anything.

@genmce_1

You have to click inside the Jamstix GUI for it to work. Shifting focus to the Jamstix window alone won't work. I don't know if this is intentional but that's how it is.
