Re: New Plugin - BassMuse

A quality update: BassMuse 1.13.4.

Chords now land solidly. Every chord change anchors on a chord tone (usually the root) instead of occasionally starting on a stray scale note — so your lines sit better. How tightly a style locks to the root is part of its character now, and turning up Complexity loosens it for more movement.

Out-of-key chords also stay tidier — the bass anchors on the chord's root and keeps the rest in your song's key.

1.14.0 is out

Post by bapu »

BassMuse 1.14.0 is out, and it's a free update for you. It teaches BassMuse to open PianoMuse songs: the two plugins now share one song format, so an arrangement built in either one loads straight into the other.

What's new in 1.14.0:
• Open a PianoMuse song — File ▸ Open now accepts .pmsong files. The whole structure (sections, chords, time signatures, per-bar fills and mutes) comes across, and BassMuse fills in its own bass styles.

How to update:
• Click the Update button below (or hit Update inside the plugin) to grab 1.14.0.
• Your songs, styles and settings carry over untouched — it's a free update within BassMuse 1.x.

One more thing: PianoMuse — our two-handed piano and organ plugin, same engine now for keys — is in public beta. If you'd like early access, you can apply to test it at simplybassproductions.com.

BassMuse 1.15.0 is here, and it's a free update for you.

What's new: every bassist style now has its own distinct feel — the busy, melodic and pocket players no longer blur together — plus tighter fill and variation behavior and reliability fixes under the hood.

BassMuse 1.16.3

BassMuse 1.16.3 — odd-meter chord drops now just work

A quick update that smooths out one of the fiddlier corners of dragging chords in.

Drop a MIDI chord clip onto a section and Muse now sets that section's meter to
match the clip. So a 7/8, 5/8 or 9/8 progression dragged from your DAW lands one
chord per bar, cleanly, instead of drifting against a 4/4 section the way it
could before.

Even better: some tools — Scaler is the common one — export chords without
writing a time signature at all. Muse now handles those too, reading the meter
straight off the chord spacing. Evenly spaced odd-eighth bars are recognized as
7/8, 5/8 or 9/8 automatically; a plain whole-beat clip stays 4/4, as it should.
(If an odd-meter clip ever lands as 4/4, it means the source tool exported it on
whole beats — set the section's Time signature by hand and drop again.)

One small touch while we were in there: once your license is activated, the
header License button is now green, so "you own this" reads at a glance
distinctly from an active trial (still amber).

BassMuse 1.19.0 is out, and it adds something you'll reach for the moment you have more than one Muse plugin open.

New — Copy arrangement from a running plugin. Open File ▸ Copy arrangement from a running plugin and BassMuse lists the other Muse plugins running in your session (by product, section name and a short id). Pick one and its current arrangement drops straight into BassMuse — sections, chords, meters, fills and feel — no saving or loading a file. BassMuse applies its own styles and range; it's a one-time copy, so edit freely afterwards.

It replaces the old "Import arrangement from another product" menu item, which only ever reopened the same file chooser. Load Song still opens PianoMuse and RhythmMuse song files, so nothing is lost.

Your copy will offer the update automatically (or grab it from your account). Full notes:
