Q re live advance and MIDI Jamming...

Is it possible to set a note/CC to select an outtro pattern while in MIDI Jam mode?

Do you mean Midi Jam or Midi Playback mode? If you mean Midi Jam mode then just create a separate song part for the Outro and assign a note to it like any other song part.
If you mean Midi Playback mode, that would not be possible in Jamstix. You'd have to do that in your Host.

In MIDI Jam mode...I don't use playback mode.

So from your reply it seems I can do it, excellent.I'll test it out.

I need some more help with this as it does not work :(

I have assigned A0 as the note and have set the MIDI in to JS on the correct channel, and when I press it nothing happens, I have set a 2 bar outtro part.

Seems it will only advance to the outtro AFTER the number of bars set in the Reps section has run out, and even then it still keeps going it does not stop, even with no drum beat sounding.

If I have the reps set at 1, then the outrro plays as soon as the single rep is over. Not really the idea for MIDI Jamming I would have thought. My understanding was it simply continued jamming until the user determined a stop point?

Maybe I read it wrong, wouldn't be the first time!

It sounds like you need to enable General Options>Liveloops Bar Jumps option so the part change happens at the end of the current bar instead of after the song part completes its rep count. Adding an Ending song part will stop playback after you jump to it and it completes.
