Shouldn't the host cursor move when I select a bar or a part in Jamstix 3?

I don’t think so. Jamstix follows the host. Not the other way around.

I have a vague recollection of clicking on bars in the song editor and the host cursor moving to the corresponding position. Maybe wishful thinking or Mandella Effect. I just got back into this again recently after a long time of not using it.
I keep forgetting I can do things in the host. Useful things, like markers.

I try to build the same song structure in JS4 and my DAW using Markers.
Then I can click within Jamstix to edit parts but move to the relevant DAW marker to hear that in context.

Markers sure are useful. I'm still figuring the ins and outs of working between JS3 and Reaper. I was mostly using Addictive Drums before this. I was just doing the bare minimum between that and Reaper. JS gets me using more DAW utilities.
